Arkham Asylum

Batman: Arkham Asylum by far one of the best games out there.  It is located right outside of Gotham City and where Batman’s foes considered to be legally insane are kept (other enemies are kept in Blackgate Penitentiary.)  Notable Patients are: Amygdala, Bane, Black Mask, Calendar Man, The Cavalier, The Charlatan, Clayface I (Basil Karlo), Clayface II (Matthew Hagen), Clayface III (Preston Payne), Clayface IV (Sondra Fuller), Cornelius Stirk, Crazy Quilt, Deadshot, Doctor Double X, Doctor Phosphorus, Film Freak, Firefly, Harley Quinn, Hugo Strange, Hush, The Joker, Killer Croc, Killer Moth, Lock-Up, The Mad Hatter, Magpie, Maxie Zeus, Mr. Freeze, The Penguin, Poison Ivy, Professor Pyg, Professor Milo, Ra’s A; Ghul, The Riddler, Ratcatcher, Rupert Thorne, The Scarecrow, Tweedledum and Tweedledee, Two-Face, The Ventriloquist, Vox, Warren White, Witch, and Zsasz.
Arkham Asylum doesn’t have a very good record when it comes to keeping inmates in.  There has been numerous murders, breakout attempts, and prison riots.  The Joker has escaped Arkham every time he has gotten in.  This is not a place you want to be sent.

The Man Who Broke the Bat

You know him from the last movie of The Dark Knight Trilogy, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City, and the newest game, Batman: Arkham Origins.  It takes a certain type of villain to get the best of the Bat it takes another type to overrun his city, crushed his spirits and demolish him completely.  A person with incredible intelligence.  A man with immeasurable resolve and insurmountable strength.  Bane was born in Peña Duro or hell on earth located in Santa Prisca.

As a child in the prison bane considered his only friend a teddy bear named Osito.  (Spanish for “little bear”) Osito evidently has a little hole in his back in which Bane keeps a knife he used for “bullies.”  Fueled by the super steroid serum known as Venom.  He is a master planner and stagiest he has devoted his life to proving himself the best.  Bane holds a much greater sense of respect for the Dark Knight than most of his fellow villains, seeing the Dark Knight as his only real equal.  Bane is mostly noted for his epic battle with the Bat in the historic “Knightfall” (1993 to 1994) where he became especially know for breaking Batman’s back.

While recovering Bruce Wayne passes the mantel to Jean-Paul Valley also known as Azrael.  Utilizing a sophisticated combat suit in place of the traditional Batman uniform, he fights and defeats Bane at the end of the “Knightfall” story arc cutting the tubes that pump the Venom into Bane’s bloodstream causing severe withdrawal.  Azrael then gives the weakened Bane a vicious beating leaving him barely alive.
